Application Procedure Erasmus+
Application ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility (Incoming)
We are pleased that you have decided to stay at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and that you will soon be our guest. The prospective funding for your stay is provided according to the following types:
- for teaching purposes with at least 8 hours per week (Staff Mobility for Teaching - STA) or
- for training purposes (Staff Mobility for Training - STT).
BEFORE YOUR STAY
- Mobility Agreement (link to the Online Portal)
This document is used to agree on the programme of your visit. Create the Mobility Agreement via the online portal and sign it (digitally). Another (digital) signature is required from your home institution. Then send the document by email to staffmobility@uni-weimar.de.
- Grant Agreement
After we have received your signed Mobility Agreement, we will send you the Grant Agreement by email. Please print it out, sign it and return it to us as a scan by email to staffmobility@uni-weimar.de.
Please bring the original with you when you travel to Weimar and hand it in to us.
PAYMENT
- EU home instituition
If you are a guest from an EU university or institution, you will receive a transfer of 70% of the subsidy amount to your bank account after you have sent us the Grant Agreement by email. Once you have completed the EU Survey (see "AFTER YOUR STAY"), we can transfer the remaining 30% of the grant. - non-EU home institution
If you are a guest from a non-European university or institution, you will receive a cash payment of the total subsidy amount in the first few days after your arrival in Weimar. We will coordinate the exact procedure with you individually.
AFTER YOUR STAY
- EU survey
The EU Commission will send you an email (from EU-CORPORATE-NOTIFICATION-SYSTEM@ec.europa.eu) requesting you to complete a short online report (multiple choice). - Experience report
At the end of your stay, we will ask you to fill out an experience report. To do this, please log back into the portal and select the appropriate form.
Amount of financial support
To be eligible for the Erasmus+ programme, the stay in Weimar must last at least 2 days (EU home institution) or at least 5 days (non-EU home institution). Travel days do not count as residence days. The subsidy is divided into
- a flat-rate per diem residence allowance of 160 EUR per day
(usually no allowance is paid for Saturdays and Sundays)
and - a one-time flat-rate travel allowance, which is based on the distance between Weimar and your home institution.
Additional funding can be provided through sustainable travel (applicable primarily within Europe).
Sustainable travel or "Green travel" means travel that uses low-emission means of transport such as bus, train or bicycle for the majority of the journey (at least 50% in total).
Ship, plane, car/e-car or motorbike do not count as a sustainable means of transport. Even if CO2 emissions are compensated, planes are not considered sustainable means of transport.
Applicable primarily within Europe:
If longer time is needed for the trip due to the use of sustainable means of transport, funding can be granted for up to 4 additional days - as long as this was stated and justified accordingly when applying for funding.
Travel support
Travel costs are subsidised on a flat-rate basis throughout Europe based on the straight-line distance between the point of departure and destination. The distance is determined by a European Commission instrument (distance calculator).
