Project description online

EVERYBODY IS A POTENTIAL BAUHÄUSLER
Co-designing & craft workshops for Empowerment in context of historical Bauhaus

A reinterpretation of Marcel Breuers slatted chair Ti1a of a interdisciplinary and intercultural team in reflection of Bauhaus searching for social visions cause design is more than object and surface.

Right now most of applications for asylum in Germany need almost one year. One year of waiting to start a new life. While waiting for residence and learning a new language the co-creating workshops can give orientation and hold.

Using the power of crafts, working with your own hands and creating something has a soul healing effect on human being. Beside the training of skills in the workshop, the collaboration has a huge impact on the capability of teamwork and the chance of knowledge transfer. Beside all, craft functions as language and supports a non-verbal communication to cross diverse culture and languages.
The effect of crafts for empowerment of the individual as basis of a participating society.
