Diese Forschungsarbeit zeigt die Vielschichtigkeit der Debatte um die mögliche Rekonstruktion des Haus Wolf. Die Biographie des Hauses mit ihrer grundlegenden Wendung hinsichtlich seiner Zerstörung, tritt in Dialog mit der Konstruktion einer Erzählung der ›Urvilla der Moderne‹ seitens der Wiederaufbauinitiative. Die Ambivalenz zwischen Rekonstruktion und Moderne wird kritisch reflektiert und dem Fallbeispiel als Metaebene hinzugefügt.
