Project description online

Construction industry is one of the most hazardous industries due to its nature and behavior.
Problems on occupational health and safety are commonly occurred in the construction industry, including falling of materials or person from height, stepping on objects and injured by hand tools.
Conventional construction methods are still widely practiced, although many researches have indicated that this method is less effective compared to the IBS construction method. The existence of the IBS has added to the many techniques within the construction industry. This paper aims to examine the status of safety management in the construction industry, explore the risk-prone activities on construction sites, and identify factors affecting construction site safety and also comparing safety between industrialized building system and conventional construction. The study also proposes that the government should play a more critical role in stricter legal enforcement and organizing safety training programs.
