Project description online
k.a.a.l. stands for „sound („klang“) archaeology algorithm“ and will be showcased at the Digital Bauhaus Lab during the annual summer presentation at Bauhaus-University 2016 (summaery).
The interactive spatial sound installation asks to what extent – within a radio art archive – cultural-scientific and techno-historcal semiotics can be detected.
The visitor is sent on an acoustic archaeological research trip. In an experimental setting fragments of the rushing ether of radiophonic documents are occasionally being triggered by the visitors’ movement.
k.a.a.l is a dynamic space sound unit and archaeological imperative for its visitors. Its activities will be evaluated on the basis of empirical data collection.
Based on material taken of the EXPA, the archive for radio art of the BUW.
