SDG Campus
What is the SDG Campus?
The SDG-Campus learning platform pursues the overarching goal of promoting the development of technology-related sustainability competencies among interested learners. Based on the common understanding that technological transformations can make a decisive contribution to sustainable development, quality-oriented, contemporary, cross-university learning opportunities are developed.
What is it about?
The educational offer provides learners with the opportunity to develop interdisciplinary competencies for achieving the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDG Campus sees itself as a lever for achieving the recommendations formulated by the German Rectors' Conference to anchor sustainability in all service areas of universities as "future workshops of society".
In order to take account of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with this basic orientation in academic education and further training, the educational offerings for the individual UN Sustainable Development Goals are made available on the SDG-Campus learning platform. The learning opportunities have different levels. Thus, in addition to overarching introductory courses on sustainability and SGDs, there are three different types of learning opportunities: Foundations, Immersions, and the so-called Challenges. In this way, learners develop the necessary design competencies for sustainable development as effectively as possible.
How can I access the SDG Campus?
Students can register for the SDG Campus free of charge and use the self-learning offer independently. In addition, interdisciplinary courses are offered that are dedicated to individual SDGs and sustainability competencies.
