Typografie sieht entweder gut oder schlecht aus, sie sieht jedenfalls immer irgendwie aus. Funktion und Form von Schrift sind untrennbar miteinander verbunden.
Unterschiedliche Gestaltungsaufgaben und Experimente dienten als Mittel Typografie zu analysieren, ihre Wirkung und Funktionsweise zu verstehen. Dabei lag der Fokus auf den formalen, ästhetischen Aspekten der Typografie, die als Gegenstand der Pop-Kultur saisonalen, regionalen und sozialen Moden und Codes unterliegt.
Der Kurs bot Raum für Diskussionen und Feedback, sodass sich Projekte und Ideen weiterentwickeln konnten. Die Resultate dessen werden während der Summæry 2018 in der M1 im Raum 204 präsentiert.

Typography can be either good or bad. The function and form of writing are inextricably linked.
Throughout the course, different experiments and tasks served as a means to analyze typography as well as understand its’ effect and functionality. The focus of the class was on the formal and aesthetic aspects of typography, which as an aspect of pop culture is subject to seasonal, regional and social fashion codes.
The course provided space for discussion and feedback, allowing projects and ideas to evolve over time. The results of this will be presented during the Summæry 2018 in the M1 in room 204.
