Modelling, Texturising and Animating using Cinema4D
This semester we are modelling furnituress, that where designed in the wood while the Bauhaustime in Weimar within the Cabinetmaking Workshop. Mostly the 3D-interpretations are basing on a foto from the "Bauhaus-Alben". The hypothetical after-modelling are founded on an exactly calibrated camera for the historical photo. A sensible assumption of a "key measurement" mostly leads to useful sizes and proportiones for all the other parts of the furniture. Many of the furnitures, that are shown within the "Bauhaus-Alben" were exponats of the Bauhaus exhibition in Weimar in the year 1923 and the whereabouts of the objects are unknown. The 3D-funiture models generated in this seminar the first time give the ability to make some speculations about their invisible parts (backsides or underconstructiones) viewing the renderings of alternative proposals.
