Dear exhibitors,

to ensure the success of the project show, please consider the following technical and organisational aspects in addition to the content:

Submit your project

Registration of projects for summaery2024 will be possible from 1 to 18 June, midnight. Projects and events that register after 18 June cannot be included in the printed programme, but will appear in the digital catalogue on the website. Changes and additions are possible here at any time. Participation is exclusively for projects and events from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and cooperations. 

In the digital catalogue, you can present your project in German and English and upload or link to videos, images, documents and other formats. In addition, it is possible to refer to events and, if applicable, to store digital access data for them.

Organise on-site exhibitions

Exhibitions and events in the buildings and on the grounds of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar are possible for summaery2024 under the following conditions:

  • For areas outside the university, please contact the respective owners directly.

INDOOR EXHIBITIONS 

  • Please contact the respective owners regarding the use of rooms.
  • The Audimax is allocated by the Department for Facility Management, Heike Sander (raumvergabe-sl[at]uni-weimar.de).
  • Please contact Raika Nebelung (raika.nebelung@uni-weimar.de) for the allocation of the foyers in the University Library.

Exhibitors, together with their teachers, are responsible for compliance with the regulations.

Register events and parties

Registration with the regulatory authorities
The summaery2024, the opening party on Thursday and the Science Mile Q3 in Friday will be registered with the City of Weimar by University Communications. All exhibitions and events within the regular opening hours are thereby secured.

Participants of summaery2024 who wish to hold a public event or party outside the regular opening hours, including events even exclusively for the university public, must notify the public order authorities at least eight days in advance. The contact person for this is Mr. Andreas Karius in the Office for General Regulatory and Supervisory Affairs of the City of Weimar (Tel. 03643 762 355, allgemeine-ordnung-und-aufsicht@stadtweimar.de).

GEMA
If you play copyrighted music in public as part of your summaery2024 project or event, you have to register this use with the Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte (GEMA). The University has concluded a framework agreement with GEMA for the period from 11 to 14 July 2024 from 4-10 pm, which covers all uses during this period. For further information, please contact:

Pay attention to security and accessibility

As an exhibitor at summaery2024, you and your supervising academic are responsible for the content, security and compliance with legal regulations when creating and presenting your project.

Which regulations apply to you naturally depends on the type and scope of your project as well as the medium selected for your presentation. However, you should always observe the legal regulations for:

  • Copyright and rights of use for text, image and sound documents
  • Accessibility
  • Privacy

In addition, the general regulations on safety management and the house rules of the university (German) apply. The regulations and instructions of the Service Center für Security Management will help you find your way around.

When using rooms and open spaces outside the university, please enquire about the currently binding safety and hygiene regulations on site. Please contact the respective owners for this purpose.

When realising your projects, you can access various technical equipment via the faculties and the eLab of the University Development:

in addition the Media Technical Services Team at the SCC also supports you with the technical operation of the central lecture halls and seminar rooms as well as the organisation of technical processes relating to events.
