How to migrate to the new Cloud system
Use the following steps to copy your files from the old cloud system (cloud.uni-weimar.de) to the new cloud system (nextcloud.uni-weimar.de). If you have any questions or problems, please contact the user service: nutzerservice[at]uni-weimar.de
Creating Global credentials in the old cloud system
Step 1: Log in to the old cloud system (cloud.uni-weimar.de) and navigate to the sub-item »Security« in your personal settings.

Step 2: Enter a device name in the field marked in Figure 1 (e.g.: Migration) and create an application password using the »Create new app password« button.
Write down the displayed username and password:
Integration in the new cloud system
Step 3: Log in to the new cloud system (nextcloud.uni-weimar.de) and navigate to the sub-item »External storage« in your personal settings.

Schritt 4: Anschließend tragen Sie in der Spalte Konfiguration bitte "https://cloud.uni-weimar.de" in das Feld URL ein und füllen die Felder für Benutzername und Passwort mit dem oben erstellen App-Passwort. Mit einem Klick auf die Haken-Schaltfläche bestätigen Sie die Konfiguration. Bei erfolgreicher Verbindung erscheint links ein grün hinterlegter Haken. (vgl.: Abbildung 4)
Copy your data to the new cloud system
Step 5: Select the folders and files you want to copy from the old cloud system (cloud.uniweimar.de) to the new cloud system (nextcloud.uni-weimar.de):
Step 6: Open the copy dialogue via the »Actions > Copy« button:
Step 7: Now choose a target folder on the new cloud system (nextcloud.uni-weimar.de) where you want to copy your files. Either copy your files directly into the main directory or create a subfolder (e.g. »Old files«). Click the »Copy« button to start the copying process.
Tip: You can use the house icon to switch to your main directory in the new cloud system (nextcloud.uniweimar.de).
Depending on the size of the files, copying may take a few minutes. When the is complete, you can switch to the selected target folder and check that the process was successful.
Please note that this process will transfer all files, but no file shares or calendar entries. Please check what data still needs to be shared and create new shares for this data. Under the following link you will find a list of the file shares you have created in the old cloud system (cloud.uni-weimar.de):

Schritt 8: Nach Abschluss der Migration kann der eingebundene Ordner (Externer Speicher) wieder entfernt werden. Dafür wechseln Sie bitte in Ihren persönlichen Einstellungen zum Unterpunkt »Externer Speicher«. Sie erreichen die Seite auch über folgenden Link: https://nextcloud.uni-weimar.de/settings/user/externalstorages
Anschließend können Sie den zuvor eingebundenen externen Speicher über das in der Abbildung markierte Menü wieder trennen.
