Learning with objects: testing the VR software VREVAL in the hybid learning studio

The Learning with objects project Immersive Architectural Design Assessment in Hybrid Settings with Professur Informatik in der Architektur, Vertr.-Prof. Dr. Sven Schneider and collaborators Olaf Kammler and René Weiser focuses on the further development of immersive architectural walk-throughs in hybrid settings. Together with the Lernraum.Bauhaus team, they will investigate the applicability of virtual reality software VREVAL for architectural education.

Learning with objects: testing the digital collaboration platform Conceptboard in the hybrid learning studio

In the Learning with objects project Wahr-Nehmen Spaziergang in die Sinne with Lectureship Film and Media Studies Dr. Simon Frisch and collaborator Makiko Nishikaze, forms of analogue and digital mediation were explored using the digital collaboration platform Conceptboard. The board collected many exercises for conscious perception: listening, seeing and more - with links to audiovisual examples, instructions and texts. As a final documentation, this conceptboard was tested on various screens in the hybrid learning studio.

Learning with objects: product design mid-term presentations in hybrid format

Students from the product design project module "Misfits" from the Faculty of Art and Design presented their prototype designs in hybrid format. The module is part of collaborator Philipp Georg Enzmann's research focus for Learning with objects  and its topic Digital-material Objecthood: New Teaching and Learning Potentials through Creative Human-Robot Interaction

Learning with objects: Hybrid Photography Workshop

Learning with objects collaborator Margarita Beltran worked with the Metaverse platform Topia and tested its potential in the hybrid learning studio as a teaching and learning tool in hybrid format. To evaluate this potential, both her students and the Lernraum.Bauhaus team completed a series of photo assignments from her Decolonizing Eyes course as online and face-to-face participants.

Test: Augmented reality excursion with the mouse

Testing the possibilities of AR excursions in the current status of the hybrid learning studio. As you can see, the mouse is very happy with the construction progress!

Test: The Projection Wall

The first tests of the large screen projections which will serve as the basis for the technical installations of the planned projection wall of the hybrid learning studio. The projection screen aims to support hybrid settings of group work in two different locations in "real" size.
