Project description online
"Material Manifestations" explores the narrative and aesthetic as well as the energetic value of found and used material.
How is our relationship to the world of things today in an increasingly immaterialized, digitized and automated society? What kind of ideas can we develop that will not only control the material flow of our consumption in the future, but rather learn to use it?
If used objects are also contemporary witnesses - who embody a certain time or epoch in their form and nature and are therefore artefacts in the archaeological sense - which finds from their own biographies can be artistically processed in this context? To what extent can even the artwork be ecologically recyclable or "green"?
